- A flickerfixer buffers the 12 bits with colour information and sends it to
- the monitor (in analog form) with a higher scanrate. (It also deinterlaces
- the frames).
- So a flickerfixer can display 4096 colors on a Amiga with OCS/ECS.
- It can display a 256 colour screen flicker free, eg. 640x400 interlaced
- with 256 colours will be displayed as 640x400 deinterlaced with 256 colors.
- What you'll loose is colour resolotion, i.e. you'll only have a 12 bit
- palette instead of the 24 bit.
